We would like to inform you that AEIP is an official supporter of AGEFI in their initiative to create the European Investors Days (EID) as a meeting place for professionals who are shaping the face of finance in Europe. The first EID will be organized, in partnership with Politico, in Brussels, at the Hôtel Steigenberger Wiltcher’s on 6th, June. European Commission funds 3 year program with 1.7 million euro A consortium of experienced European pension stakeholders has taken up the challenge to carry out a European Commission action to develop the Pilot stage of a European Tracking Service on Pensions (ETS). The European Commission has called for the ‘development of web-based cross-border pension tracking services that help mobile workers follow their pension rights accrued in different Member States and pension schemes in the course of their career’. The final seminar organised in the framework of the social partner project “Mental Health in Construction Work”, will take place in Brussels on 14th March. AEIP participated as the coordinator of the research activities and coordinated the elaboration of the final research report. AEIP has published its research paper on the European Semester, analysing the Country Specific Recommendations (CSRs) related to pensions as well as healthcare systems. The current analysis of AEIP has a twofold aim: first, it is set to provide a comprehensive mapping of the Commission’s recommendations and their implementation across time and space. In light of the latest trilogue negotiations regarding the PEPP, AEIP has published its most recent position paper. In order to reflect the additionality of PEPP to existing national pension systems, Member States that wish so, should be free to maintain restrictions that are in conformity with the IORP II Directive. We would like to stress on the need for a sufficient flexibility given to MSs with regard to making the decision on the inclusion or exclusion of IORPs as eligible PEPP providers. AEIP’s representatives took part in the Workshop on pension funds statistics organized by the European Central Bank in Frankfurt on 10 October 2018.  The workshop was the fourth meeting between the ECB, NCBs, NCAs, EIOPA, Eurostat, OECD and industry representatives, including AEIP. The meeting aimed at providing participants with an update on the work towards the implementation of the ECB Regulation on pension funds statistics , the convergence with EIOPA’s supervisory reporting and possible future use of these statistics.
