AEIP adopted its position paper on the European Care Strategy and Long-Term Care (LTC) in view of the upcoming developments at the level of the European Parliament. On 29 March 2022, AEIP published its input to the European Commission’s call for evidence on the European care strategy accompanied by a proposal for a Council Recommendation on Long-term care and on the revision of the Barcelona targets on early childhood education and care. AEIP strongly supports the European Commission’s (EC) goals for the EU Care Strategy and it believes that this is an opportunity to foster the provision of long-term care (LTC) and informal care. On 6th April AEIP participated in the Social Dialogue on the High-Level Group on the future of social protection and of the welfare state in the EU. On 23 February 2022, AEIP published its input to the European Commission Guidelines on the application of EU competition law to collective agreements regarding the working conditions of solo self-employed persons. The draft Guidelines aim to make sure that EU competition law does not stand in the way of certain solo self-employed people's efforts to improve collectively their working conditions.
