As a project partner of the Information Sharing Agreements (ISA) project, on 10th of February AEIP organized a webinar to present the guidelines that the consortium developed to promote transnational cooperation and posting of workers in the construction sector. Following the presentation of the ISA guidelines, representatives from the European social partners and the European Labour Authority shared their views on how to further promote these agreements and the cooperation between authorities and stakeholders involved in the posting of workers in the sector. AEIP gave its input to the European Commission’s targeted consultation on the establishment of a European single access point (ESAP). AEIP believes in the added value of including sustainability data in the scope of ESAP, since these are not always available to investors–contrary to financial data that are already more broadly accessible and available. This would support particularly smaller pension funds that aim to increase their level of ambition in the area of responsible investing. In December 2020, the EC launched a public consultation to get inputs from stakeholders on the new EU Strategic Framework on Health and Safety at Work for 2021-2027. The past framework expired in December and the Commission, together with the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) is now working to present a new one for the a period of six years. As a follow up to the meeting of AEIP with DG FISMA’s Asset Management Unit on 30 November, AEIP’s Statement makes a concise overview of the points brought forward, with the aim to assist the EU policy regulators to better understand the particular characteristics of IORPs but to also address these concerns in their future legislative work. In fact, the webinar constitutes the final step of the project, where partners will present the guidelines they developed in the past years to facilitate the regular mobility of workers across EU countries.
