Save the date – Celebrating 25 years of AEIP – Online Event on 2nd December
We are pleased to announce that on the morning of 2 December AEIP organizes its online event on the topic of: ‘The future of social protection – the role of supplementary social protection institutions: The added-value of the paritarian model to deliver solutions in a changing context’, as part of the 2021 European Retirement Week and in order to mark its 25th anniversary of activities in Brussels.
The event aims to showcase and celebrate the activity of AEIP during the past 25 years, as it will bring together experts, academics, policy makers, social partners and representatives of AEIP members to discuss the important role of the paritarian model. The discussions will focus on the added-value and functioning of paritarian institutions within the current landscape of social protection organizations, with the aim to give an overview of the opportunities and challenges of paritarism in the 21st century. As we connect the past with the future of AEIP, we will approach a wide range of topics, such as the evolution of social protection institutions, transformation due to covid-19 as well as the integration of non-standard forms of employment.
AEIP is organizing its event as part of the European Retirement Week, which will begin with a launch event on 29 November, featuring a keynote speech by Mairead McGuinness, European Commissioner for Financial Services, Financial Stability and the Capital Markets Union.
The European Retirement Week is organized from 29 November to 3 December at the initiative of 11 European associations with the goal of providing a platform for a wide range of stakeholders to debate the future of pensions in Europe and raise citizens’ awareness of the need to save for retirement.
