In accordance with the rotating system of the AEIP’s Presidency, on 29th June Mr Philip Neyt, PensioPlus completed his two-year mandate as the AEIP President for the period 2019 – 2021. Counting on many achievements during his leadership, the contribution of Mr Neyt to AEIP’s work at the European level and in reforming the internal structure of the organization were highly appreciated by the AEIP members and staff.

 

During the meeting, the AEIP General Assembly appointed the new AEIP President and Vice President for the upcoming two-year mandate starting from June 2021 until June 2023.

Ms Brigitte Pisa was nominated by Agirc-Arrco (France) and appointed as the new AEIP President. Ms Pisa is currently the Vice-President of Agirc-Arrco as a representative of the employees’ college. She is also the Vice-President of the Board of AG2R La Mondiale – a social protection group active in the life and health insurance sector. Brigitte also serves as a member of the French Accounting Standards Authority (ANC). Agirc-Arrco is a member of AEIP of more than 15 years and in France is in charge of the complementary pension of 43 million people (23 million currently active workers in the private sector in 2020). Each year it provides EUR 80 billion benefits to 13 million retirees in France. Based on PAYG, Agirc-Arrco is a resilient scheme driven by social partners with, more than EUR 61 billion in reserves and with no debt.

Ms Katja Bjerstedt was nominated by the Finnish Pension Alliance – TELA (Finland) and appointed by the AEIP General Assembly as the new AEIP Vice President.

Ms Bjerstedt is the Chief Economist at Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company in Helsinki, Finland, and a member of the Board of AEIP on behalf of TELA since 2019. Varma is a mutual pension insurance company, owned by its client companies, insured employees, self-employed persons, and owners of the company’s guarantee capital, operating within the statutory earnings-related pension system of private sector employees and entrepreneurs in Finland. The value of Varma’s investment portfolio is EUR 52,9 billion (as of Q1 2021), providing pension coverage of around 890,000 retirees in Finland.

Nomination de la nouvelle Présidente et Vice-Présidente de l’AEIP

 

Conformément au système de rotation de la Présidence de l’AEIP, le 29 juin, M. Philip Neyt, PensioPlus, a achevé son mandat de deux ans en tant que Président de l’AEIP pour la période 2019 – 2021. Fort de nombreuses réalisations durant son mandat, la contribution de M. Neyt aux travaux de l’AEIP au niveau européen et à la réforme de la structure interne de l’organisation a été très appréciée par les membres et le personnel de l’AEIP.

Au cours de la réunion, l’Assemblée générale de l’AEIP a nommé les nouveaux Président et Vice-Président de l’AEIP pour le prochain mandat de deux ans, de juin 2021 à juin 2023.

Mme Brigitte Pisa a été désignée par l’Agirc-Arrco (France) et nommée nouvelle Présidente de l’AEIP. Mme Pisa est actuellement Vice-Présidente de l’Agirc-Arrco en tant que représentante du collège des salariés. Elle est également Vice-Présidente de l’association sommitale AG2R La Mondiale – un groupe de protection sociale actif dans le secteur de l’assurance vie et santé. Brigitte est également membre du Collège de l’Autorité des normes comptables (ANC) en France. L’Agirc-Arrco est membre de l’AEIP depuis plus de 15 ans et est en charge en France de la retraite complémentaire de 43 millions de personnes (23 millions de travailleurs actifs du secteur privé en 2020). Elle verse chaque année 80 milliards d’euros de prestations à 13 millions de retraités en France. Basé sur la répartition, l’Agirc-Arrco est un régime solide, piloté par les partenaires sociaux, avec plus de 61 milliards d’euros de réserves et sans dette.

Mme Katja Bjerstedt est l’économiste en chef de Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company à Helsinki, en Finlande, et membre du conseil d’administration de l’AEIP pour le compte de TELA depuis 2019. Varma est une société d’assurance retraite mutuelle, détenue par ses entreprises clientes, les salariés assurés, les travailleurs indépendants et les propriétaires du capital de garantie de la société, qui opère dans le cadre du système de retraite légal lié aux revenus des salariés et entrepreneurs du secteur privé en Finlande. La valeur du portefeuille d’investissement de Varma s’élève à 52,9 milliards d’euros (au premier trimestre 2021), assurant la couverture des retraites d’environ 890 000 retraités en Finlande.

L’AEIP tient à remercier M. Philip Neyt, PensioPlus, pour son excellent travail au cours de la période précédente en tant que Président sortant de l’AEIP et souhaite la bienvenue à Mme Brigitte Pisa et Mme Katja Bjerstedt dans leurs nouvelles fonctions.
