The Data Build project is an European project whose aim is to strengthening data-driven policy making in the construction sector. It is funded by the European Commission under the Social Prerogative and Specific Competencies Lines (SOCPL) programme and coordinated by FILLEA CGIL

Bringing together social partners, paritarian institutions, and training organisations from five EU countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, and Slovenia), the project explores how data and digital tools can improve working conditions, skills development, and occupational safety and health (OSH).

Supported by European social dialogue stakeholders, the project focuses on enhancing the role of data in shaping labour policies and sectoral strategies. It aims to improve the understanding and use of data across the construction ecosystem, contributing to more effective decision-making and stronger social dialogue at both national and European level.

Through a combination of analytical work, case studies, and mutual learning activities, Data Build develops new indicators to monitor wages and working conditions, assesses innovative tools for matching labour demand with skills supply, and evaluates digital solutions used on construction sites. These include technologies for access control, risk detection, and accident prevention, supporting safer and more efficient workplaces.

The project also promotes knowledge exchange through study visits, seminars, and online discussions, allowing partners to share experiences and identify best practices. Particular attention is given to identifying workers and companies most at risk of occupational hazards and improving prevention strategies through targeted, data-based approaches.

AEIP´s Role

AEIP is responsible for leading and coordinating WP6 of dissemination and communication activities of the project, ensuring strong visibility and outreach at both national and EU level. Its tasks include developing the project’s visual identity, including the logo and overall graphic design, organising key events such as the mid-term dissemination event and the final conference, and overseeing the full communication strategy. This involves creating and managing the project webpage, producing newsletters and press releases, handling social media outreach, and developing audiovisual and promotional materials.

AEIP also coordinates partners’ contributions to communication activities, provides guidance for content production, and ensures that all outputs effectively support stakeholder engagement and the uptake of project results.
