POST-MEET

Information actions for posting in the construction sector

1st Dissemination Event

13 November 2024

15:00 – 17:30

Rue de la Loi 26 – 1000 Bruxelles (Conference Room of the Belgian Italian Chamber of Commerce)

The European Association of Paritarian Institutions – AEIP was pleased to invite you to the first dissemination event of the “Information actions for posting in the construction sector” (POST-MEET) project, organised on 13 November 2024 in Brussels.

This collaborative initiative aims to improve access to essential information on transnational posting in the construction sector for workers and companies across EU Member States, namely Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, and Spain. It focuses on delivering clear and comprehensive information on employment conditions, legal procedures, and sectoral funds. This is achieved through multilingual guides, both in-person and online seminars, and by innovating the communication tools used by project partners to engage with posted workers and their employers. By empowering workers, increasing transparency, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders, the project contributes to promoting fair and transparent working conditions in the construction sector.

During the dissemination event we presented the first project outcomes to EU policymakers, social partners, and relevant stakeholders. This included the multilingual guides developed in Bulgaria and Spain (Asturias) to inform workers and companies about procedures and employment conditions in the construction sector in cases of posting. Following the presentation of national guides from Bulgaria and Spain (Asturias), key stakeholders, including representatives from EU Social Partners in the construction sector (FIEC & EFBWW), paritarian funds (SOKA-BAU) and the European Labour Authority (ELA), shared their insights on fostering collaboration between authorities, social partners, and paritarian institutions to enhance information sharing and ensure fair working conditions and mobility for workers. The panel addressed key challenges and highlighted best practices in disseminating information to companies and posted workers in the construction sector, with a focus on the effective implementation of the Posting of Workers Directive.
