AEIP is looking for a new Executive Director to lead its lobbying activities in Brussels

Job Experience: Previous experience with EU Affairs in a relevant policy field in Brussels, sound knowledge on EU decision making process & prior background with EU level pensions, insurance & financial policy and legislative framework.

The AEIP Executive Director is responsible for the management and coordination of all AEIP activities and the representation of the organization at the European and international level.
The Executive Director will report to the Board and will be in charge of the management of the Association including European lobbying, ensuring its visibility, research activities, day-to-day operations, financial and strategic planning, and the management of the Brussels-based team of policy advisors. The Executive Director is ultimately responsible for reaching the goals of the Association through structured lobbying activities aimed at the promotion of the paritarian management of social protection.
The Executive Director will be responsible for managing relations with the members of the Association, the recruitment of new members, the strategic planning and coordination of its lobby actions as well as for the representation towards decision makers and AEIP’s broad network of stakeholders.
The position requires sound knowledge and background with EU affairs and in-depth understanding of the functioning of the European Institutions, especially in the context of social protection. The Executive Director will be responsible for AEIP’s policy and lobby work, leading the overall implementation of the strategic objectives of the Association – promoting the interests of its members and the paritarian management of social protection.
Applicants should ideally have the following competences and skills:
- At least 5 years of working experience at the European level in a senior position, ideally with relevance to Pensions / Financial markets / Health & pension life Insurance / Social Protection or another relevant field.
- Proven track record of engagement with European institutions of relevance as well as ideally, EIOPA.
- University background in Law or/and Economics or/and Finance or a relevant field.
- Fluency and excellent writing skills in English & a working level of French will be a plus.
