In July this year, the High-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance (HLEG) produced an Interim Report with a set of early policy recommendations, available here.

Following a public hearing in July, HLEG has published a questionnaire in order to gather feedback from stakeholders which will be further taken into consideration for their Final Report expected in December 2017.

AEIP has submitted its questionnaire response, focusing on several key points of relevance to its members as social protection providers and institutional investors.

Among other points, we have suggested to the European Commission to focus also in the incorporation of social and governance aspects in complement to environmental considerations. As a representative of social protection institutions, we have stressed the importance of the social factor in sustainable finance
