This week AEIP and PensionsEurope have shared to EIOPA their joint response on the first climate stress test for IORPs. In our position we thank EIOPA for the good communication and constructive dialogue during the preparations and exercise of EIOPA 2022 IORP stress test. On 6 February, upon the proposal of the French Prime Minister, Brigitte Pisa, President of Agirc-Arrco and AEIP, was presented with the insigna of Chevalier in the National Order of the Legion of Honour. On 7 February 2023 the launch event of the report of the High-Level Group on the Future of the Welfare State took place. In its final report, the High-Level Group developed a vision on how to reinforce social protection systems and the welfare state considering ongoing and new challenges, in a medium to long-term (looking ahead to 2030). With the beginning of the discussions at the European Parliament on the European Health Data Space (EHDS) on 8 November 2022, AEIP reiterates its support to co-legislators for the achievement of this important initiative. AEIP supports the principle embedded in the European Pillar of Social Rights, according to which every individual has the right to timely access affordable, preventive and curative health care of good quality. In view of the upcoming review of the IORP II Directive, on December 2022, AEIP adopted its position and invites EU stakeholders to consider the points raised, in order to ensure the proper functioning of the IORP sector and the protection of the interests of members and beneficiaries.
