The European Association of Paritarian Institutions (AEIP) is pleased to announce that the 12th edition of the Transatlantic Conference will take place in Brussels on 27th-28th-29th May 2020.
The Conference is organized by AEIP in cooperation with the US National Coordinating Committee for Multiemployer Plans (NCCMP), the Multi-employer Benefit Plan Council of Canada (MEBCO), and the World Pension Alliance, currently chaired by the US National Conference On Public Employee Retirement Systems (NCPERS) for the day devoted to pensions.
Taking place on annual basis since 2008, the global WPA & Transatlantic Conference traditionally focuses on:
In Day 1 – the challenges and opportunities in healthcare provision in the context of current demographic and socio-economic trends;
In Day 2 – the operation and management of pension funds and the evolution of pension polices around the globe;
In day 3 – policy approaches for effective engagement of social partners (trade unions and employer organizations) in collective bargaining / social dialogue, including a sectorial perspective on current labour market dynamics.
All topics of the Conference serve as a platform to exchange on the state-of-play of policy frameworks and legislation from a global perspective and their various social or economic impacts, drawing conclusions on best practices with potential for replication, ultimately providing policy recommendations.
The event brings together leading experts in pension and health benefits, as well as Trustees and plan professionals, policy makers and academia from around the world to share their knowledge and expertise.
