AEIP’s Statement on the Joint Proclamation on the European Pillar of Social Rights

The European Pillar of Social Rights was proclaimed jointly by the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission at the Social summit for fair jobs and growth in Gothenburg on last week on 17 November.

AEIP welcomes the joint proclamation of the European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR) and considers it as an important step towards reconciling the European growth agenda with social rights.

As a promoter of social protection managed by social partners, AEIP would like to stress again on the importance of the paritarian model and the full integration of its underlying principles such as solidarity, risk sharing, efficiency, good governance and transparency of costs.

AEIP takes this occasion as an opportunity to move forward on the social dimension of Europe.
