Target Depression - Business Leadership Forum,12 November 2015

EXTERNAL AEIP EVENT organised by the TARGET CAMPAIGN

Invitation to attend ‘Target Depression’ Business Leadership Forum, Unilever Rotterdam, 12 November 2015

The 2nd Annual European Business Leadership Forum to Target the Impact of Depression in the Workplace will take place on Thursday 12 November 2015, 09.30–15.00, at Unilever’s European headquarters in Rotterdam.

The theme of the 2nd Forum will be Why Depression. Why Business. Why Now.  In that context, this year’s Forum will focus on the importance of positioning depression, and mental health in general, as an integral part of any vision for a healthy workplace. It will examine the serious effects of depression in the course of heart disease, diabetes and other chronic disorders, and shine a light on the prospects of improved treatment and prevention. The event will feature emerging research and good practices, and create the opportunity for participants to exchange ideas with leaders and practitioners from other organisations. The Forum will encourage cooperation among employers to reduce work days and years lost to depression and overall mental ill-health, thus protecting productive capacity, which is now under serious pressure. Ultimately, the goal is to change the global trajectory of depression for the better.

AEIP, as Member of the Target Advisory Group will attend this forum as part of the speakers panel.
